If you’ve been following along, I gave Stu a year’s worth of pre planned dates for our anniversary. Once a month we go out and once a month, we have a date night in. The date night outs do not have to be elaborate to be fun. In fact, here are half a year of date night out ideas, all in one post. 😀
January: We left Colton with Stu’s parents in Kearney and enjoyed a Tri-City Storm hockey game.
February: We went out to eat at Luigi’s Italian restaurant. Afterward, we went to Starbucks to enjoy a warm drink. While we were there, we took a 5 Love Languages quiz to understand each other better. I highly recommend taking the quiz and talking about the results together. You can learn so much about each other!
March: Because my birthday is in March, this was the one date I asked him to plan. He took me to Old Chicago in Lincoln and arranged for his sister, Steph, to babysit. I enjoyed my old favorites: root beer and happy hour deep dish pizzas!! 🍺 🍕 And a “little big cookie ala mode”, of course. 🍪
April: In North Platte, we are blessed with Cody Park. Among other things, they have a frisbee golf course. We played a game and then enjoyed a picnic lunch.
May: Stu loves breweries but North Platte doesn’t have one, yet. I love sports bars and bar food. So, we left C with my parents and we ate at the Chicken Coop in Grand Island. They serve Thunderhead beer and we enjoyed watching some baseball.
June: North Platte has a great vineyard, Feather River. One Friday night in June, we enjoyed “wine down night”. We were able to taste several wines and I found a few new favorites! The scenic landscape is beautiful. Right here in Nebraska.
So there you have it. A half year of date ideas! Happy dating!!!
